The individual consultation with Dr. Berkei consists of an innovative 3-step concept with the aim of providing each patient with complete and transparent information and is carried out by both Dr. Berkei and her team. Your exclusive consultation is very detailed, precisely tailored to you and lays the foundation for your new life and your satisfaction. We therefore charge a price of 200 euros per zone to be treated for our on-site consultation. The cost of the consultation is simply deducted from your treatment costs. Preparing a cost estimate based solely on the analysis of photos is very imprecise. We want our patients to come to our practice for a consultation so that factors such as state of health, condition of the tissue, individual anatomy, special wishes, medical peculiarities, etc. can be taken into account when planning the procedure, the duration of the operation and thus when drawing up a reliable cost estimate.
The treatment costs for Dr. Berkei and her colleagues can only be covered by private health insurance if there is a medical indication, and usually only partially. We will provide you with detailed information about our experience during the consultation. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty with surgery
Removing tamponades after rhinoplasty surgery is painful. We do not want to expose our patients to this pain, so we do not routinely use tamponades and offer a pain-free alternative: Doyle Splints. The silicone tubes are inserted into the nose at the end of the operation and gently removed after a few days. In contrast to the classic tamponade, which consists of a strip of fabric, the Doyle Splints are smooth and soft and slide easily out of the nose without sticking.
In addition to surgical correction of the nose, it is also possible to fill small humps or depressions on the bridge of the nose with a filler to even them out. For this, we use the substance hyaluronic acid, which has proven its worth in this type of rhinoplasty. Please bear in mind that this is a volume addition. In this respect, injections usually only work well in patients with noses that are not too large.
Nose surgery using the Nose by Berkei technique includes functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty as well as static surgery. The supporting structures of the nose are reinforced with cartilage from the nasal septum to form a subterranean scaffold. Patients are also given an external nasal splint for two weeks. The nose is fully resilient again after 6-8 weeks.
Please do not shower too long or too hot in the first 2-3 weeks after a nose operation. Hair can be washed after 3-5 days with the head leaning back (please do not wash upside down). If water runs down your face, this is not a problem, just dab it off.
With the closed rhinoplasty technique, incisions are only made inside the nose. With the open technique, there is also a small incision on the nose bridge. While closed rhinoplasty was performed around 20 years ago, the last ten years have seen a strong shift towards the predominantly open technique. This offers many advantages due to better visibility of the anatomy.
There is no general answer to this question. You should be of legal age for an aesthetic rhinoplasty. Nose surgery can be performed at any age, provided the patient is in very good health. A functional rhinoplasty can also be performed on minors in special cases, for example in the case of severe ventilation disorders.
If there is a ventilation disorder in the nose due to a crooked nasal septum, a wide septum, enlarged turbinates/nasal cavernous bodies or a nasal skeleton that is too narrow or crooked, a complete rearrangement of the cartilaginous and bony nasal skeleton is part of the functional operation. The hump must also be removed and the nasal tip cartilage must be stabilized and straightened. The change in shape and the patient’s wishes, which play a major role in this, are of course discussed in detail beforehand in the 3D simulation.
Immediately after inserting the silicone tubes into the nose, a thermoplastic splint is placed on the nose to protect and splint it. The splint extends from the tip of the nose to the upper end of the bridge of the nose. It remains on the nose for approx. 14 days after the nose operation.
Dr. Berkei uses the open technique for her rhinoplasties. Their argument: with the open technique, more extensive steps can be carried out to correct the tip of the nose, the bridge of the nose can be straightened more optimally and greater precision can be achieved than with closed surgery.
The duration of rhinoplasty surgery is as individual as the patient themselves and depends on the surgical technique chosen. The patient’s wishes and individual circumstances can also have an impact on the duration of the rhinoplasty. The duration of the procedure usually varies between 2 and 3 hours for a primary rhinoplasty, while the procedure can take 3-6 hours for a revision rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty without surgery
An injection of the bridge of the nose or the tip of the nose with hyaluronic acid costs between 400-600 euros at Dr. Berkei and colleagues.
The effect of a nasal injection with hyaluronic acid lasts for around 12 months. The treatment can then be repeated to maintain the effect. If nasal injections are carried out twice in succession within a period of twelve months, the filling effect accumulates and the result can last for several years.
Rhinoplasty surgery is performed under general anesthesia in a private clinic. The nose is surgically corrected using the latest techniques. After the nose operation, you will need to wear a splint for two weeks and rest for three weeks. The result of the operation is permanent. Nose injections are performed on an outpatient basis in our practice and take around 20 minutes to an hour. We inject hyaluronic acid above and below the nasal hump or into the hollow at the bridge of the nose. After rhinoplasty with hyaluronic acid, you are immediately socially acceptable and can go about your everyday life.
There is no general answer to this question. Nose injections are suitable for patients who only want minor changes and no permanent effect. With several applications, however, the filling effect of hyaluronic acid can last for several years. A surgical correction is a more fundamental and permanent correction of the nose, and you should be informed about the risks and possibilities.
Facial surgery
Eyelid lift
Most of our patients return to work after 14 days following an eyelid lift (office work). Women can use make-up, and we recommend that men temporarily distract from the minimal swelling that is still present by wearing glasses. However, if you have important appointments in front of the camera, in front of a larger audience or similar, where you need your body to be as healed as possible, then please wait about four weeks for these special occasions.

As you have to pull on the eyelid to insert contact lenses, we recommend wearing glasses temporarily for 4 weeks.
A pure eyelid lift can usually be performed on an outpatient basis if you stay nearby for the first night and are picked up personally by a family member or friend. You should not be alone at home for 24 hours after the operation.
Alternatively, the skin around the eye can be tightened using a CO2 fraxel laser or phenol peeling, for example. However, surgery with a classic incision is best suited for tightening the upper eyelid.
You can book an eyelid lift with Dr. Berkei either under local anesthesia or under TIVA anesthesia, which is used for outpatient procedures. Dr. Berkei recommends eyelid lifting under a short anaesthetic, as the incision can be measured more precisely on a patient’s relaxed face and patients find the procedure more comfortable.
During an eyelid lift, it is particularly important that the incisions on the upper eyelid are made directly in the skin fold on the eyelid or in a smile line on the side of the eyelid. The incisions on the lower eyelid are located approx. 1 mm below the lash line and run laterally in a smile line. This trick makes the scars almost invisible.
On the day of the operation, the incision is marked on your eyelid using magnifying glasses and a fine marker. In addition to the excess skin, a fine strip of muscle and excess fatty tissue are often removed during surgery. A special muscle tightening and support is performed on the lower eyelid with a special suture on the side of the eye. This is particularly important to prevent ectropion. They wake up with small narrow tapes on the incisions and can open their eyes and see. They may still have slightly blurred vision as they have Bepanthen ointment in their eye for protection during the operation. The stitches are removed after 7-10 days.
Eyebrow lift

Ear pinning surgery for protruding ears usually requires direct surgery on the cartilage using techniques that weaken the cartilage in the long term or remove parts of it. We perform ear correction either under local anesthesia or a gentle short anesthetic under outpatient conditions.

CO2 Fraxel laser
Treatment with a CO2 Fraxel laser can be slightly uncomfortable, but is generally well tolerated. A local anaesthetic cream is applied before the treatment to minimize any discomfort during the procedure. Cooling can also be used during treatment to alleviate any sensations of heat.
The results of a CO2 Fraxel laser treatment are not immediately visible. The skin may initially be red and swollen. However, the actual improvements are noticeable after a few weeks to months, when the skin regenerates and new collagen is formed.

CO₂ laser treatment at Berkei Aesthetic is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. First, the skin is cleansed and disinfected. Depending on the type of treatment, a local anesthetic or anesthetic ointment is applied to reduce pain. The CO2 laser removes damaged skin layers step by step and promotes collagen production in the dermis. After the laser treatment, the natural healing processes begin, resulting in new, smoother skin.
