Her great desire to provide voluntary aid in third world countries took Dr. Julia Berkei to Myanmar during her studies, where she took part in aid missions and operated on children with cleft lips and palates. The great joy of giving people a life worth living with an operation moved Dr. Berkei to found the organization Medical Intervention Team e.V., with which she operated on more than 500 children free of charge between 2008 and 2017 and organized the entire structure of the charity missions. Volunteering to improve human lives still gives Dr. Julia Berkei great pleasure today and keeps her returning to Myanmar regularly.

On the day of the operation, the medical team at the Berkei practice welcomes our patients, clarifies any remaining questions and usually draws the incision for the operation. We and the anesthesia team will accompany you to the operating theatre. During the operation, the team works closely with the anesthesia team to ensure that the anesthesia is professionally monitored and that the operation is carried out in a highly sterile manner and with subtle hemostasis. Our team takes a lot of time for the sutures in particular, as they have to be performed carefully with mostly dissolvable suture material in several layers and with the aid of the finest surgical instruments and magnifying glasses. At the end of the operation and before waking up, we inject the wound area with a strong anesthetic solution. As a rule, they wake up without pain. The individual consultation with Dr. Berkei consists of an innovative 3-step concept with the aim of providing each patient with complete and transparent information and is carried out by both Dr. Berkei and her team. Your exclusive consultation is very detailed, precisely tailored to you and lays the foundation for your new life and your satisfaction. We therefore charge a price of 200 euros per zone to be treated for our on-site consultation. The cost of the consultation is simply deducted from your treatment costs. You can easily book your appointment online.
