Microneedling in Frankfurt: skin rejuvenation, scar reduction & glow with modern needling technology

Minimally invasive, effective and versatile: What is microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as Needling, Micro Needling or Dermaroller treatment, is a proven, minimally invasive method for skin rejuvenation and scar treatment. Fine needles perforate the top layers of skin in a controlled manner in order to initiate targeted regeneration processes. The result: The body's own production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid is stimulated. The skin appears firmer, smoother and more even, without surgery, here in our practice in Frankfurt am Main.
Whether it's fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, pigment spots or even the first signs of hair loss, microneedling is a true all-rounder among modern aesthetic procedures.
In our practice in Goethestraße, we rely on high-precision devices such as Dermapen or that Radio frequency microneedlingto suit every skin type. Combined with medical serum or, if desired, with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), the procedure develops its full potential for a visibly refreshed and more youthful skin structure.
How does microneedling work?
Microneedling gently perforates the skin with a special device, usually a dermapen or derma roller. This results in microscopically small injuries, so-called microchannels, which stimulate skin tissue to regenerate. The targeted stimulus stimulates fibroblasts, which produce more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, three essential building blocks for firm, plump and smooth skin.
The process in our practice in Frankfurt
- Individual skin analysis
At the beginning of the treatment, we carry out a thorough analysis of your skin, if necessary with image-based diagnostics such as VISIA, to precisely record skin condition, pore size and pigment distribution. - Preparation & anesthetic
Before needling, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. On request, we can apply an anesthetic cream to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. - The needling itself
With the dermapen or derma roller, we work systematically over the area to be treated. The needle depth is adjusted individually, depending on skin thickness, indications and body region. The microchannels allow highly concentrated active substances to penetrate deeply. - Post-treatment & care
A soothing serum or mask is applied immediately afterwards. After that, regeneration begins, usually accompanied by a slightly reddened, “sunburn-like” feeling for 24-48 hours.
Thanks to modern technology, microneedling is now precise, safe and efficient. After a few days, the skin looks firmer and more radiant, and the so-called “glow effect” usually occurs after the first session.
Indications: When is microneedling suitable?
Microneedling is a versatile treatment that is suitable for different skin types and ages. In our practice in Frankfurt, we use it specifically for skin rejuvenation and for specific skin problems, always individually tailored to your needs.
Microneedling is suitable, among other things, for:
- wrinkles and fine lines
Small wrinkles can be significantly reduced, particularly in the area of forehead, cheeks, décolleté and neck. - acne scars and pimples
By creating new tissue, the skin structure of acne scars can be visibly improved and smoothed out. - Large-pored skin
Due to the improved elasticity, the pores appear smaller and the skin appears more even. - stretch marks and stretch marks
Microneedling can also contribute to the regeneration of overstretched skin on the body. - Pigment spots and sun damage
In combination with depigmenting agents, needling can help to gently lighten hyperpigmentation. - Hair loss/thinning hair
Used in the scalp, microneedling can promote blood circulation and, in combination with suitable serums, stimulate hair growth.
Microneedling is not suitable:
- For active acne or open inflammation
- For herpes infections in the treatment area
- For severe couperose or rosacea
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding
- When taking blood thinning medication (only after consultation)
- In case of impaired wound healing or tendency to keloid formation
Microneedling is ideal for anyone who wants firmer, clearer, younger-looking skin, with no downtime and no surgery. Professional skin analysis and individual advice, as provided in our practice by experienced specialists, are important.
Before-and-after results & experiences: Visible results: What microneedling can do
Microneedling is not only convincing in theory, the results speak for themselves. Just a few days after the first session, many patients report fresher, smoother skin. But the full result unfolds over time.
Short-term effects:
- The skin looks plumper and rosier after just a few days.
- A fresh glow is created by the stimulated blood flow.
- Pores appear finer, small irregularities smooth out.
Long-term effect:
- wrinkle reduction: The body's own collagen buildup visibly reduces fine lines without loss of volume.
- Improving scars & stretch marks: Scar structures gradually become softer and flatter.
- Refining the skin's appearance: The skin looks smoother, more even and younger overall.
- Tighter facial contours: A “lifting effect” can be achieved, especially with regular use.
Before-and-after documentation:
In our practice in Frankfurt, we are happy to show you anonymized before-and-after pictures of real patients during your consultation. This allows you to realistically assess what microneedling can also do for your skin. Documenting the cure and results over several weeks gives you a transparent picture of the potential success of the treatment.
Yes, we are allowed to show before and after results on our Swiss website, but this is not allowed in Germany for legal reasons. We ask for your understanding in this regard.
Healing process & aftercare: This is how your skin regenerates after microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure, yet the healing process takes place in several phases. With the right aftercare, the risk of side effects can be minimized and the treatment outcome optimised.
The first few hours after the procedure
Immediately after treatment, the skin is reddened, slightly swollen and sensitive, similar to sunburn. A feeling of warmth, tightness or selective bleeding are normal and usually subside within the first 24 to 48 hours.
Day 1-3: Regeneration starts
In the following days, the skin may easily flake and peel. This is a sign that the renewal process is beginning. Make-up, sauna sessions or sports should be avoided during this time. Direct sunlight should also be avoided at all costs.
From day 4: Glow & Fresh
The skin starts to look fresher and more even. Small imperfections are reduced and the complexion appears clearer. Depending on skin type and treatment depth, regeneration can take a different amount of time, and the final result is usually visible after 2—4 weeks.
Your aftercare recommendation from practice
- Gentle cleansing with pH-neutral products
- Moisturizing and soothing creams (e.g. with panthenol or hyaluronic acid)
- Avoid exfoliants and aggressive ingredients for at least a week
- Daily high sun protection factor (SPF 50+), even when the sky is overcast
- Use personally recommended active ingredients in a targeted manner from your consultation
Our experts not only support you during the treatment, but are also available to advise you throughout the healing process.
Common questions about microneedling
How often is microneedling treatment useful?
Microneedling has its effect gradually. Depending on skin type, treatment goal and depth, several sessions are usually necessary to achieve optimal results.
Average treatment intervals:
- For fresh glow and finer pores: 2-3 sessions, 4 weeks apart
- For acne scars or pigment spots: 3—6 sessions, 4—6 weeks apart
- For wrinkle reduction or skin tightening: 4-6 sessions, depending on skin condition
- Microneedling as an anti-aging booster: Refresh every 3—6 months
Our recommendation: In a personal consultation, we analyse your skin using modern imaging (e.g. VISIA technology) and develop a tailor-made treatment plan.
What is microneedling exactly?
Microneedling involves passing fine needles across the skin to specifically cause micro-injuries. These stimulate the body's own production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, for smoother, firmer and more radiant skin.
Does microneedling hurt?
An anesthetic cream is applied before treatment. The process is therefore very well tolerated, even on sensitive skin. A slight tingling or feeling of warmth is normal.
How long does healing take after microneedling?
Depending on the intensity, you are usually fully sociable again after 24-72 hours. Redness and slight peeling of the skin are typical reactions in the first few days.
How many sessions do I need?
For best results, we recommend 3—6 sessions, 4—6 weeks apart. For acne scars or deep wrinkles, a longer series may also be useful.
What do I have to consider after the treatment?
No makeup for 24 hours, avoid direct sun, daily SPF 50+, no sauna, no sport on the same day. Your skin also receives an individual care recommendation from us.
Are there any risks associated with microneedling?
When carried out professionally, the risks are minimal. There is occasionally redness, slight swelling, or minor bleeding. Infections are extremely rare.
Can I also be treated if I have acne or pigmented spots?
Yes, microneedling is great for treating acne scars, enlarged pores, pigmentation disorders, and even stretch marks. We will check in advance whether the method makes sense in your case.
